The International Abilympics 2027 competition for people with special needs will take place at Messukeskus, Helsinki, from 10 to 13 May 2027. The competition will be held alongside the Taitaja 2027 event, creating a unique Skills Games mega-event.
In the three-day Abilympics competition, professionals with special needs compete in tasks requiring skills in their respective professions. The competition showcases 43 different skills, with competitors from around the world.
Overall, the Skills Games mega-event is expected to attract over 120,000 visitors, including competitors and guests from more than 30 countries, to the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre (Messukeskus Helsinki). The event will be organised in collaboration with over 20 educational institutions. The Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture supports the organisation of vocational skills competitions and the Abilympics Helsinki 2027 competition.
