Description of the skill
Engineering Design CAD focuses on the creation of detailed technical drawings and component designs for machine tools using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. Competitors are expected to produce precise side views, part layouts, and assembly drawings that meet engineering standards and specifications. This skill requires a strong understanding of mechanical design principles, spatial visualisation, and proficiency in CAD tools to translate concepts into accurate and functional designs.
