Description of the skill
Dress Making (Production Sewing) involves the creation of a complete or partial women’s outfit, including tailor-made garments, using the fabric provided. Competitors are expected to work independently with their own set of tools and demonstrate proficiency in setting up and operating a sewing machine. The task requires interpreting design instructions, executing precise cutting and sewing techniques, and applying finishing details to achieve a high-quality result. The final garment is presented on a mannequin, showcasing the competitor’s craftsmanship, creativity, and attention to detail.
