Skills Games

Skills Finland will host a unique mega-event, the Skills Games, at Helsinki Messukeskus from 10 to 13 May 2027.
Two major vocational skills competitions form the event: the Abilympics Helsinki 2027, an international vocational skills competition for people with special needs, and the Taitaja 2027, Finnish national championship for young skilled professionals.
The Skills Games 2027 event
- Features over 80 skill categories and more than 800 competitors
- Skills Finland is responsible for organising the overall Skills Games event and the Abilympics competition, while Omnia will coordinate the Taitaja competition
- A total of 20 vocational education and training providers are involved in delivering the event
- The Ministry of Education and Culture supports the organisation of both competitions
- The event aims to attract over 120,000 visitors
- The Event Director is Maria Ekroth, Chief Executive Officer of Skills Finland
- The entire Skills Finland team will be involved in organising the event

The event is free of charge and open to the public from 11 to 13 May at Messukeskus Helsinki. More detailed opening hours will be published closer to the event.
