Registration for Abilympics Helsinki 2027 opens 1 September
The registration period for delegations for the Abilympics Helsinki 2027 competition runs from 1 September to 31 October 2026.
Before September 2026, IAF member organisations will receive instructions on how to register.
Individuals cannot register for the competition themselves – each country’s or region’s IAF member organisation selects and registers the participants.
About the competition
International Abilympics is a skills competition for professionals with special needs. All competitors must have a mental or physical disability to participate.
Each participating country or region is invited to send one delegation, which may include competitors, judges, competition officials, technical advisers, interpreters, at least one team leader, and observers.
IAF membership required
All participating countries and regions must be members of the International Abilympic Federation (IAF). Countries wishing to take part in Abilympics Helsinki 2027 that are not yet members should apply for membership as soon as possible using the form on this page: Apply for IAF membership.
